Piotr Rosolowski is a Polish director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, co-author of Academy Award®-nominated short documentary film Rabbit a la Berlin (2009) and co-director of Domino Effect (2014), The Prince and the Dybbuk (2018), and The Hamlet Syndrome (2022) with Elwira Niewiera. I am documentary filmmaker with more than 20 years of experience and long track record of Internationally acclaimed films. Last 4 years I spent in Ukraine working on The Hamlet Syndrome. On the basis of the film I can speak about how to turn an artistic vision into a successful documentary film. I have also an insight into current situation in Ukraine and can speak about role of art during a political and military conflict.
Speaking History
We have already presented our films at many prestigious festivals such as: Venice Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, Doc NYC Film Festival, Hot Docs Film Festival, Lincoln Center NY, Brooklyn Academy of Music NY, and many others. I was also giving guest film lectures at the Silesia University in Poland and Film University Konrad Wolf / Berlin, Germany.
