GOOD DOCS is a boutique educational documentary distributor focusing on the educational/non-theatrical market and distributes films to students, campuses, and organizations. Our slate of award-winning social justice documentaries deals with critical civil and human rights issues. GOOD DOCS is seeking an Educational Documentary Marketing and Research Assistant to assist us with research, onboarding, website management, and supervising interns. This is an entry-level remote position that will start part-time and may become a full-time position.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an ambitious and self-starting assistant, preferably a post-college graduate and based in California. This is a perfect job for anyone interested in being part of the documentary film world and helping to distribute documentary projects rooted in social justice and human rights. Our ideal candidate is looking to develop a career around education, activism, and nonfiction filmmaking. Please note we are a distribution and outreach company. This is not a production or post-production position.

GOOD DOCS Documentary Outreach Marketing & Research Internship
Year round at GOOD DOCS we welcome enthusiastic, detail-oriented interns to assist with outreach research for our slate of award-winning social justice documentaries. GOOD DOCS is a boutique documentary distributor that focuses on the educational/non-theatrical market, and distributes films to students, campuses, and organizations. Our films deal with critical civil and human rights issues, and our interns often have a background or interest in Sociology, Film Studies, Women & LGBTQ+ Studies, African American, Latina/Latino and Asian American Studies, Environmental Studies, Education and so forth.
Keep in mind this is a remote unpaid research position. We welcome and encourage students enrolled in work-study and are seeking internships for college credit.
